Hi, I’m Max.

I’m a software developer in Cardiff, Wales. Originally from Birmingham where I grew up and worked for Podnosh after graduating with a 2:1 in Music Informatics from the University of Sussex. I now live in Cardiff and work as a senior developer for Substrakt. I also run GraphHost an IaaS for the neo4j graph database.

I’ve worked on projects big and small for everyone from non-profits, charities and enterprise-level applications. I love writing carefully crafted code with an emphasis on maintainability. I love to read and learn. Often about programming but often about wider issues too.

I spend a lot of time encouraging younger people in to programming. I’ve worked with Young Rewired State and many schools around Britain getting their students in to coding.
